Rihanna has dampened rumours she's fallen out with Katy Perry over Chris Brown, claiming in a new interview she'd never give her friend dating advice, and wasn't bothered by who the star was dating.

It had been reported the pair had fallen out over Riri's reconciled romance with Chris Brown, which it was claimed Perry thought was a mistake. The rift was said to have got so bad the 'Firework' star requested to sit away from her former friend during the Grammy awards earlier this month.

An insider told Us Weekly: They arent tight anymore because Katy doesnt approve of Rihanna dating Chris Brown.

But clearly Rihanna isn't holding a grudge, as she reportedly denied any sort of tension with the singer, telling the Observer magazine: "Katy Perry can date anyone she wants. I could never give relationship advice to anybody."

Clearly Katy feels the same as she wished her BFF a very happy birthday, seemingly taking a shot at her haters as well.

She wrote: HAPPIEST 25TH BIRTHDAY to my baby girl @rihanna! I wish I could b there drinking Mai-Tais & telling haters to eat a d**k w/u!

In the same interview Rihan! na opened up her romance with Chris, which has caused so much controversy over the last year, claiming it was different, to when they were together in 2009. "He's not the monster everyone thinks, she insisted.

He's a good person. He has a fantastic heart. He's giving and loving. And he's fun to be around. That's what I love about him - he always makes me laugh.

Despite her insistence there are those who still don't believe the star should've given her ex-boyfriend another chance following the 2009 assault which left the 'Diamonds' star battered and bruised.
