Rihanna Defends Chris Brown Romance: 'He's Not The Monster Everyone Thinks'

Rihanna has opened up why she gave ex-boyfriend Chris Brown another chance after he assaulted her in 2009 and is as frank and open as you'd expect when it comes to the singer and her love life.

Insisting that Brown has changed and isn't the monster, people think he is. Speaking to the Observer magazine, the singer, who went public with the Brown romance on Christmas Day defended the controversial romance that has split fans.

"It's different now," she told the paper. "We don't have those types of arguments any more. We talk about [stuff]. We value each other."

Despite his conviction for assault Chris' temper hasn't subsided. Last year he was involved in a brawl with fellow R&B star Drake and recently got into a scuffle with Frank Ocean at a recording studio in Los Angeles.

Explaining his behaviour she said: "I know it comes off like that, And it doesn't help. For a long time he was really angry ... there's so many reasons why I ever reconsidered having him in my life. He's not the monster everyone thinks.

She went on: He's a good person. He has a fant! astic heart. He's giving and loving. And he's fun to be around. That's what I love about him - he always makes me laugh."

The star even talked about starting a family, though didn't seem to keen on the pregnancy part, claiming: "Hell yeah, but I wish I could order them,"

Rihanna recently spent her 25th birthday in Hawaii with Brown and her family and in shots from her party, looked pretty happy with her beau.
