Chris Brown's lawyer: 'My client has been tortured by LA prosecutors'
Brown appeared before a judge at court in Los Angeles earlier on Wednesday (February 6) to answer allegations that he lied about completing the 180 hours of community service he was sentenced to after assaulting Rihanna in 2009.
Geragos told the court building that he was "a little disturbed" with the approach taken by the DA's office, arguing that it "could have been handled much differently".
However, the attorney was more forthright when speaking to reporters after the hearing, saying: "The DA is paralyzed with the thought that his probation will be terminated as soon as the community service hours are completed, because if that happens they not gonna be able to jock him around like they've been jocking him around.
Geragos, who described the DA's motion as "sloppy", "fraudulent" and "a travesty" in a five-minute press conference outside the courthouse, also claimed: "In 30 years of practice, I've never a client - and I've represented a wide breadth - thousands of clients - I have never, ever had a client who has been tortured by the DA's office on probation like Chris Brown has.! "

Brown was ordered by the judge to discuss the allegations with his probation officer in Los Angeles in the next 48 hours, and is due back in court again on Friday, April 5 when the evidence in the case has been considered.
Rihanna was in court to support the singer following the couple's recent reunion, along with Brown's mother Joyce Hawkins.
Geragos told reporters that Rihanna thinks the DA's actions against Brown are ridiculous.
He also encouraged the media to explore the interviews and evidence in more depth instead of just reading the motion on the surface, arguing that "back in the old days, [it's] what an aggressive press corps used to do".
