Rihanna: Chris Brown Isn't A "Monster"

Rihanna has spoken about her true feelings for Chris Brown and claims he "isn't the monster everyone thinks".

In a revealing interview in the Observer, she opens up about why she took the rapper back after he was convicted of assaulting her in 2009.

She explained: "It's different now. We don't have those types of arguments any more. We talk about [stuff]. We value each other."

When it was suggested that Breezy's recent public displays of anger meant that he hadn't changed, she admitted: "I know it comes off like that, and it doesn't help. For a long time he was really angry ... there's so many reasons why I ever reconsidered having him in my life. He's not the monster everyone thinks.

"He's a good person. He has a fantastic heart. He's giving and loving. And he's fun to be around. That's what I love about him - he always makes me laugh."

The interview was not all of such a serious nature - Rihanna also revealed how she still has her Christmas tree up and is so obsessed by one particular Italian restaurant in LA that she's moved house to be closer to it.

RiRi and Breezy are currently celebrating her 25th birthday by holidaying in Hawaii.
