Rihanna: Chris Brown is not a monster
Rihanna had many people shaking their heads in disappointment and disbelief when she accompanied on-off boyfriend, Chris Brown, 23, to his probation hearing this week.
The two have a controversial history together. Chris probation hearing this week stemmed from the 2009 pre-Grammy incident where he assaulted Rihanna. Brown was in court Wednesday due to allegations he lied about completing his community service.
Rihanna recently opened up about her relationship with Chris Brown in a candid interview with Rolling Stone Magazine, saying that he is not the monster that everyone thinks he is. She said people should stop living in the past.
Everybody has their opinion about him, because of what hes done. That will always be there. But he made a mistake, and hes paid his dues," she said, according to The Rundown. "Hes paid so much. And I know thats not a place he would ever want to go back to. And sometimes people need support and encouragement, instead of ridicule and criticism and bashing.
According to reports from TMZ, Rihanna sat with Chris mom during the hearing, and blew him a kiss in support. They reportedly left the courtroom arm-in-arm. She said in the Rolling Stone interview, despite what people think of the relationship, Chris is the person who makes her the happiest.
For a long time he was really angry, and he felt like he couldnt get away from it, no matter what he did, she said in the Rolling Stone interview. But theres so many reasons why I ever ! reconsidered having him in my life. Hes not the monster everybody thinks. Hes a good person. He has a fantastic heart. Hes giving and loving. And hes fun to be around. Thats what I love about him he always makes me laugh. All I want to do is laugh, really and I do that with him.
