Chris Brown appeared in court today flanked by family and confirmed girlfriend, Rihanna. The Punkd star showed up in an attempt to show the court that the records regarding his community service were authentic and accurate. What did Rihanna do at the hearing? Keep reading for the details!
A Los Angeles courtroom is where Chris Brown found himself today, along with his mother, girlfriend Rihanna, and two unidentified women. While many fans are still reeling over the fact that Rihanna and Chris are back together, Rihanna showed her support for Chriss case by throwing him a kiss from her seat. Once the hearing was over, the duo left together as well.
The judge in the case asked for more time to make a decision, and scheduled another hearing two months from today. Chris Browns attorney, Mark Geragos, believes that Chris is being treated unfairly by the justice system. He released a statement today following the hearing, saying, Ive never had a client, and Ive represented a wide breadth and thousands of clients, never ever had a client who has been tortured by a DAs office on probation like Chris Brown has. He also said that many of the documents supplied by the prosecution were Dead wrong, and Geragos is asking for the prosecutors to be sanctioned. When the press asked why Rihanna was in attendance at the hearing, Mark said, She thinks its utterly ridiculous what theyre doing to him, as do I. He goes on to talk about how ridiculous he finds the case against Brown, calling it a vicious and unwarranted attack on Mr. Brown. Mark also said that the court ignored statements from Where sworn peace officers stated unequivocally that Mr. Brown was supervised and did all of the community service.
The prosecutors are asking that Brown repeat his community service time in L.A after attempts to verify his service proved impossible. This inquiry provided no credible, competent or verifiable evidence that defendant Brown performed his community labor as presented to this court. They also say that witnesses to his work fibbed their stories. Claims that the defendant cleaned, stripped and waxed floors at that location have been credibly contradicted. Prosecutors are also speculating that his paperwork was an inside job, calling the records, at best sloppy documentation and at worst fraudul! ent repor! ting.
Prosecutors also brought up Chris Browns anger issues-not only the Rihanna incident, but his many fights and outbursts-including the incident where he through a chair out of his Good Morning America dressing room.
