We haven't even got to the Grammys yet, but a fight over Chris Brown's appearance at this weekend's ceremony has already caused controversy with US singer Richard Marx making a dig on Twitter about D**kbag who hits women being allowed to attend.

Chris Brown attended the Grammy Awards for the first time last year since the 2009 assault of Rihanna following a pre Grammy party. Now the couple, who are back together are slated to attend together. Marx, who is a well known singer in the US, made remarks believed to be about Brown on Twitter following CBS' request that performers were to avoid risque clothing at the award show this year.

He wrote on Twitter:

Later replying to a user, he said it wasn't just aimed at Brown, he wrote:

Brown, who has not responded to the Tweets was in court this week over doubts surrounding his community service hours, which he carried out following his conviction for assaulting Rihanna.

Following his appearance his lawyer Mark Geragos laid into the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office again, about the way his client has been treated.

He said: The DA is paralysed with the thought that his probation will be terminated as soon as the community service hours are completed, because if that happens they not gonna be able to jock him around like they've been jocking him around.

He continued: In 30 years of practice, I've never a client - and I've represented a wide breadth - thousands of clients - I have never, ever had a client who has been tortured by the DA's office on probation like Chris Brown has.
