Chris Brown and Rihanna team up for two songs - Listen

Chris Brown and Rihanna teamed up recently to record two songs together, three years after Brown was arrested for assaulting Rihanna in 2009.

The former couple released songs on late Monday which feature guest vocals from one another. Rihanna recorded a remix of her song "Birthday Cake" featuring Brown that includes sexually charged lyrics.

"Girl, I wanna [expletive] you right now / been a long time/I've been missing your body," Brown sings on the track.

Brown also recorded a remix of his song "Turn Up the Music" which features Rihanna. That song can be heard below. Both singers Tweeted about the songs and ReTweeted each other as well.

Rihanna wrote,"@chrisbrown Turn up the music remix#RihannaNavy #Teambreezy enjoy," with a link to Brown's track.

Brown wrote with a link to Rihanna's remix, "YIKES!!! Cake, cake, cake!." The link for Rihanna's song no longer works, however, Gawker has a YouTube video featuring audio from the track.

It is unclear if the two were in the same studio when recording the new tracks.

Bro wn assaulted Rihanna, who was his girlfriend at the time, after a pre-Grammy Awards party in 2009. He pleaded guilty to a felony charge was sentenced to five years of probation and six months of community service and was ordered by the courts to receive domestic violence courses for a year.

In December 2010, Brown Tweeted a photo of a diploma from a domestic violence course and said "I'm done with class."

In February 2011, a judge granted his request for a downgraded restraining order that had kept him at least 50 yards from Rihanna except during public events.

Earlier this month, a judge denied a request from Brown's attorney that the singer's probation term be ended due to good behavior.

Superior Court Judge George Lomeli stated that he did not believe it was unreasonable for Brown to remain under supervision until he completes more of his community service hours.

Brown returned to the Grammy Awards this year where he performed twice during the ceremony and won best R&B album. Rihanna performed as well and picked up a trophy for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration.

In October 2011, Rihanna told Esquire magazine about Brown, "I'm a fan of his stuff. I've always been a fan. Obviousl! y, I had some resentment toward him for a while, for obvious reasons. But I've put that behind me."

"I'm really excited to see the breakthrough he's had in his career," she added. "I would never wish anything horrible for him. Never. I never have."

Brown also Tweeted to Rihanna, whose real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, with a birthday wish. Rianna turned 24 on February 20.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROBYN" Brown wrote.

Rihanna replied, "Thanks."
