Rihanna Gave Chris Brown Heads Up About Oprah Interview

Fearing that Oprah Winfrey would bring up her relationship with Chris Brown in a recent bare-all interview, Rihanna warned her boo about what was to come before the show aired.

Chris was hoping that Rihanna wouldnt bring up their past during her intense interview with Oprah, to be aired 19th August, but Oprah couldn't resist probing the star about the man who so publicly abused her three years ago.

Oprah travelled to Rihanna's home town of Barbados last week, where she enjoyed a tour of the island with the 'S&M' singer. Rihanna knew Oprah would soon ask difficult questions related to the 'Don't Wake Me Up' singer, so contacted him to let him know she could be asked to discuss their relationship.

On the way to a pre-Grammy party in 2009, the couple got into a row, before Brown lost his temper and attacked her. The infamous incident left Rihanna battered, bitten and bruised and when pictures were released of her injuries, media attention surrounding the couple became relentless.

A friend of Chris told HollywoodLife.com: He saw a few clipsof that Oprah interview, but [Rihanna] already told him ahead of time that they were going to bring up that old s***.

Chris friend also admitted that they believe it was all brought up as a way for Oprah to gain ratings for her fledgling network.

I think Chris was hopingthat Oprah wouldnt bring up that old s***. But I guess her network is dying so she had to bring up some old a**, boringthree-years-ago drama to get some ratings."

We don't think such behaviour deserves to be forgotten about. Good on you, Oprah!
