Rihanna 'invites Chris Brown to watch Oprah interview at LA home'

Rihanna reportedly invited Chris Brown to her house for a private viewing of her upcoming Oprah Winfrey interview.

The singer, who was assaulted by ex-boyfriend Brown in 2009, asked him to watch clips of the Oprah's Next Chapter chat at her LA home earlier this week.

"They are getting on really well at the moment and spent time catching up and relaxing," a source told The Sun.

"He's watched clips of her interview with Oprah and seems to be touched."

In the interview, which airs tomorrow (August 19) in the US on OWN, Rihanna reveals that she was "more concerned" about Brown than herself when he assaulted her.

"I felt like the only person they hate right now is him. It was a weird, confusing space to be in," Rihanna said.

"Because as angry as I was - as angry and hurt and betrayed - I just felt like he made that mistake because he needed help. And who's going to help him! ? Nobody's going to say he needs help, everybody's going to say, 'He's a monster', without looking at the source. And I was more concerned about him."

She also called the incident "embarrassing and humiliating" during the interview, saying that she lost her "best friend" when she split from Brown.
