Chris Brown comedy movie takes US box office top spot

Comedy Think Like a Man has knocked The Hunger Games off the US box office top spot after grossing US$33 million on its opening weekend.

The ensemble comedy, featuring controversial singer Chris Brown, has been adapted for the big screen from Steve Harveys best-selling book Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man.

The comedy is about four friends who run into trouble in their love lives after their partners read Harveys book and follow its advice.

The film was popular among males 63 percent of the opening weekend audience were men and 62 percent of the total audience was over the age of 30.

Zac Efrons romantic film The Lucky One pulled in US$22.8 million to take second spot.
