IT was the event that hit headlines for the wrong reasons but Supafest - Australia's biggest urban music festival - was nevertheless a raging success at ANZ Stadium on Sunday with just under 30,000 turning out.

Headlined by controversial US singer Chris Brown, the event attracted some bad press last week after performers Missy Elliott and P.Diddy accused promoters of falsely billing them as confirmed acts.

The remainder of the line-up, however, did hit the stage, with Kelly Rowland, Ludacris, Trey Songz, Ice Cube, Lupe Fiasco and T-Pain (who complained of a hangover before his set) producing the highlights of the day prior to Brown's show-stoppi! ng perfo rmance to close proceedings.

And Confidential suspects it knows the origins of T-Pain's less-than-clear head.

The Grammy award-winner laid out a very clear backstage rider before Saturday's leg in Brisbane, asking for two bottles of Gran Patron Platinum tequila (which go for about $250 a pop).

"It is imperative that the below hospitality requirements are met for proper artist performance," the document reads.

"Failure to meet the below requirements will result in cancellation and forfeiture of show deposit."

True to form, most of the line-up hit the town following the Sydney show, with Brown - who has travelled to Australia with girlfriend and "wardrobe assistant" Karrueche Tran - spied at Kings Cross club Kit & Kaboodle with fellow crooner Trey Songz until early on Monday.

Brown's inclusion in t! he line- up had attracted some criticisms as the singer continues to rebuild his image following his vicious assault on ex-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.

It was rumoured he and the Umbrella singer might perform a surprise duet during the festival. However, Rihanna skittled any plans of that after flying out of Australia early on Friday.
