Chris Brown marijuana test could affect his probation
A judge could determine next month whether Chris Brown's alleged marijuana use while in Virginia will affect his probation.
On Monday, the judge set a hearing for November to review various probation records. She also asked officials to prepare a supplemental probation report on Brown.
The singer was in court Monday to discuss his probation related to his assault in 2009 of Rihanna a night before the Grammy Awards.

During the hearing, the judge expressed concern about the drug test result.
"A lot of people look up to you, a lot of kids. What you do and what you say impacts a lot of people," Judge Patricia Schnegg said. "You are not an average person sitting in a living room. You are not only in the public eye, but you are on probation."
Now a California resident, he was living in Virginia while performing his court-ordered community service. It was in Virginia where he tested positive for the drug.
The judge revealed the marijuana test result but did not take any immediate action.
A report issued in mid-August said Brown needed 120 hours to complete his community service, but his attorney, Mark Geragos, said the singer had completed 1,400 hours of service.
Under the terms of his plea agreement, Brown was placed on five years' probation, required to attend a yearlong domestic violence prevention class and complete six months of what the judge termed "community labor" -- a more restrictive form of community service in which he was required to perform such tasks as picking up trash or removing graffiti.
