"Next 2 You" collaborators and both took the stage at Nokia Theater on November 20 for 2011 American Music Awards, but they performed separately. Breezy was introduced by rapper , while Bieber was invited to take the mic by his homie .

Breezy started his performance by singing ballad track "All Back" before turning up the beat in club-ready song "Say It With Me". The R&B singer simply stood in the center stage when singing the latter song, but he busted a move with some backing dancers in a futuristic set when delivering the former song.

As for Bieber, he embraced the Christmas spirit early by catering audience with "Mistletoe". Wearing white outfit, the Canadian singing sensation brightened the dimmed-lit stage with some red and green lights. Once he's done, took over the stage by singing their hit single "If I Die Young".

Unfortunately, none of those three stars won an award that night. Breezy lost Favorite Soul/R&B Album to , and Favorite Soul/R&B Male Artist to . Meanwhile, Bieber was blocked from winning Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist by . It's his only chance to get a prize this year.

As for the Ba! nd Perry , Kimberly Perry and her brothers had to give up their dream to win New Artist of the Year, Favorite Country Band/Duo/Group, and Favorite Country Album. The trio lost those nods to , and respectively.
