CELEBRITY vet Dr Chris Brown has taken his time moving on from actress and former love Zoe Ventoura but, after more than a year on the open market, the animal lover has finally started dating again.

Brown is seeing pretty Channel 9 sports reporter Roz Kelly, the fitness-mad couple hooking up in November during the Melbourne Cup Carnival.

Brown, better known as the star of Bondi Vet, is said to have taken an immediate shine to the attractive brunette who, only days before the carnival, was spied enjoying the company of big-wave surfer Mark Matthews at a Sydney nightclub.

While the notoriously private Brown is known fo! r keepin g a tight lid on his relationships, friends say the pair have finally stopped being super-protective of the relationship now that they are some months down the track with it.

As well as television careers, the couple also share a love of fitness and sports and are keen swimmers.

It is believed that Brown took some time recovering from the end of his relationship with former Packed To The Rafters and Wild Boys actress Ventoura, with whom he split in late 2010.

The actress afterwards said the couple's split had been "painful" but for the past seven months she has enjoyed the rapt attention of Dancing With The Stars' host Dan Macpherson, her new beau.

There were reports that Brown had taken up with Tom Williams' ex Kylie Speer during his "gap year" but we gather that relationship remained platonic.
