Twitter rumours spread to Facebook and Youtube of the rapper's demise.

Internet rumours of star deaths crop up more and more these days, appearing on Twitter pages in abundance, but todays news that Chris Brown had died spread beyond the microblogging site as rest in peace messages appeared across Facebook and Youtube in a bid for the rumour to be believed.

The rapper, who is probably more famous for his tempestuous relationship with Rihanna than his music, was first rumoured to have died on Twitter, with the usual insert celebrity name death post appearing early on. From there though, comments on Browns You Tube videos included, "Rest in peace - may you be greeted in heaven by seventy virgins and a baseball bat. Nice.

On Facebook, comments similar in tone appeared with one saying, "I didn't like him as a person, I don't like his music, but still I believe that no-one should die at such a young age," and another, "Rip Chris, you'll be beating women in hell from now to eternity."

The original account on Twitter to write the post has since been deleted, and the rumour has vanished into obscurity.
