Madonna, Chris Brown lead midweek chart

Chris Brown is on course to claim his first UK number one single.

The US singer is leading the midweek chart with his new cut 'Turn Up The Music', while Sean Paul could spend a second week at number two with 'She Doesn't Mind'.

Katy Perry's 'Part of Me' falls to number three, Gotye is down to number four with 'Somebody That I Used To Know' and Nicki Minaj remains at five with 'Starships'.

Plan B lands at number six with his new single 'iLL Manors', Labrinth slips to nine with 'Last Time' and Jason Mraz stays put at 15 with 'I Won't Give Up'.

Azealia Banks advances three places to 17 with '212', LMFAO's 'Sorry For Party Rocking' climbs to 27 and Jessie J's 'Mamma Knows Best' is at 40 after J Marie Cooper performed it during the first episode of The Voice UK.

Over on the album chart, Madonna heads the tally with her 12th studio record MDNA after the set claimed the number one spot on iTunes in over 40 countries.

David Guetta's Nothing But The Beat is at two and Adele's 21 scales a few places to three.
