Chris Brown is sorry for "disrespecting" Rihanna on stage.

A source close to the 23-year-old star told HollywoodLife.com: "When Chris is on stage, he's just going with the flow. He isn't trying to disrespect Rihanna -- that's his girl. What they do in their damn bed has nothing to do with anybody else. I didn't hear him tell Rihanna that personally, so what's the big deal? Rappers say way harder s**t than what he said, but because it's Chris, everybody cares."

The R&B star was reportedly not happy that people recorded his controversial speech, posted on TMZ.com, during which he said: "Every guy in this building has said one thing to their female. If you're not an insecure [person], and you let her have fun with her friends, I applaud you. But you gotta say that one thing to her, and I made this s**t up. Don't make me have to tell you again that that's my p**** baby. It is mine, baby, babe, mine. Don't make me have to tell you again that that's my p**** baby. It's mine girl, it's mine girl, it's mine, so you better not give it away. So every person in this motherf***ing building, if you got a bad b****, you better say that to her cause she might f*** another [person]."

However despite his comments, Chris is apparently more in love with his 'Stay' singer girlfriend that ever.

The insider said: "He was on stage, doing his thing and nobody should be recording s**t in the venue. That's not cool. That's f**ked up that people would try to put Chris on blast like that. He loves Rihanna and she loves him -- there's no disrespect on his part toward her. None."
