Rihanna's nude cover shoot for GQ magazine was said to be down to the singer wanting to please Chris Brown with her figure, despite the pair insisting that they are not back together.

The controversial cover, which was debuted earlier this month, shows the 'We Found Love' songstress standing completely naked with only a leather jacket and her hands to cover her modesty.

While most women are enviable of Rihanna's toned figure, the singer is allegedly obsessed with achieving the perfect body to please her ex-boyfriend Chris whom she is said to be reconciling.

"Rihanna thinks that if she makes herself the perfect physical specimen, Chris will be hers forever," a source told Heat magazine.

"The problem is that Ri-Ri is constantly dieting and counting calories, but she still wants to have curves for Chris. I think Chris has made her quite self-conscious about the fact that her boobs and much of her famous booty have gone, as she's lost weight recently and she feels bad about losing her curves."

Apparently, Chris often compares Rihanna to his ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran, whom he split with in October claiming the model was! "hurt" over his "friendship" with the Bajan singer. "Ri-Ri hoped that posing naked in GQ would make her feel sexier, but she just critiqued herself mercilessly," the insider continued.

"Chris compares her with Karrueche, and she just feels like she's coming up short. She tried butt-lifting exercises, but they actually made her bum smaller...She knows he's a butt guy and she has been obsessing about making it bigger since they started dating again."

Aside from her personal life dramas, Rihanna has been criticised for her antics on her recent '777' tour, during which she repeatedly arrived on stage late and racked up a hefty bill of 200,000 for delaying her tour plane several times.
