Chris Brown Snags A Modeling Contract: Other Stars Represented by the A-List Agency

R&B singer Chris Brown

Chris Brown is ready to broaden his brand by branching out into modeling. The singer has inked a deal with the Wilhelmina International modeling agency to represent him for potential beauty and fashion endorsements.

"Art and style has always played a significant role in my life," Brown tells WWD of the deal. "It's evolved with me throughout my career."

So far the firm has not landed the controversial singer any specific endorsement deals. Brown may prove to be a tough sell to potential advertisers following his very high profile arrest for assault on his ex-girlfriend Rihanna. Of course since she has seen fit to forgive him for his past bad deeds, there may be a few labels out there who will embrace his bad boy image.

When he officially joins the Wilhelmina family, Brown will be added to a pretty impressive list of celebrity clients for the firm. Here are some of the A-List stars they represent:

Fergie: The agency helped build the brand of the Black Eyed Peas singer. After signing on with the firm in 2006, the singer has been able to ink deals with Avon Products, Dsquared, Calvin Klein and Marchesa. Of her appeal, agency president Sean Patterson says, "The cool thing about Fergie as an artist, like any iconic figure in entertainment, is she's constantly evolving. Fergie is constantly evolving her sense of style. Every six months she looks different. The great artists do that."

Gloria Estefan: The Cuban-American singer joined the Wilhelmina roster in late 2011 in hopes of securing video and fashion projects. At the time Sean Patterson said, "She's truly an icon and we see tremendous opportunities for her in the fashion and beauty world."

Keri Hilson: The R&B singer is the other "new face" of the modeling agency having secured her own deal earlier this week. To date they haven't announced any major modeling campaigns, but she's been a constant name on the best dressed lists for the Grammy Awards over the past several years and is a longtime fan of the fashion industry. We're betting on a long line of potential clients lining up to sign her to promote their brands.
