Chris Brown Not Arrested for Gun Possession at BET Awards, Rep Says

Despite rampant Internet rumors, Chris Brown was not, Gossipcop.com reports, arrested for gun possession at last night's BET Awards.

Amid escalating Twitter chatter, the website x17online.com posted a story at 9PM PDT suggesting the R&B star had rolled into L.A.'s Shrine Auditorium with a weapon, just in case of another showdown with rival Drake. As it turns out, there's no truth to the story: Breezy was neither packing heat nor picked up by the LAPD, and Drizzy wasn't even at the awards -- which is probably for the best, since he would have had to watch Brown pick up the Entertainer of the Year prize.

"Nothing of the sort happened," a rep for Brown told Gossipcop.com.

In other Chris Brown-Twitter news, the superstar used his own account yesterday to send his condolences to ex-girlfriend Rihanna, who's mourning the loss of her beloved grandmother Dolly.

"Praying for family and the lost loved one," Breezy twe! eted . "She was like my grandmother. Love you GRAN GRAN! RIP."
