OSU men's basketball: Brown no longer on team

Chris Brown has left the Oregon State men's basketball program.

"Chris Brown, with our best wishes, has decided to transfer from Oregon State University," coach Craig Robinson said in statement released by the university.

"We have enjoyed having Chris as a part of our team over the past year and a half. Our team and staff wish Chris well in his new endeavors."

Brown, a 6-foot-11 sophomore center, had not played this season for the Beavers (10-2).

He played a total of 39 minutes in 15 games last season, finishing with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

The Beavers return to the court on Dec. 29 for a 6 p.m. game against Washington in Seattle.
