Chris Brown To Perform At Grammy Awards For First Time Since Rihanna Assault

Chris Brown is set to perform at the Grammy awards next year for the first time since assaulting Rihanna back in 2009.

The 'Want It All Back' singer was due to attend the award ceremony that year but was forced to miss his appearance after he assaulted his then-girlfriend Rihanna after the pre-Grammy's party the night before.

While Chris managed to escape serving jail time for the assault, he has stayed away from the awards in a bid to avoid RiRi who he must stay away from.

Breezy is nominated for three awards and is also scheduled to perform at the prestigious event. a source close to the star told RadarOnline: "Chris has complied with all terms of his probation and has completed most of his court ordered community service. He has been a model probationer, but more importantly, Chris accepted responsibility for what he did."

"Chris took that experience and vowed to learn from it and become a better person, and he was thrilled and truly humbled that he was nominated for three Grammys," they added.

The Grammy awards will take place on February 12.
