Karrueche Tran recently insisted she was only hanging out with Chris Brown for business as they launch clothing line 'The Kill' but the pair got close recently as the model celebrated the success of the fashion line on a nightout in Los Angeles.

The couple were reportedly spotted together at The Room in Santa Monica, where Tran was celebrating the launch success, with Brown reportedly telling his former beau, he was proud of her.

He came in through a back door, made her come back to where he was and told her Im proud of you girl and kissed her on her cheek, a source told HollywoodLife.

He even told her I gotta leave because this dont about me its about you so go do your thang.

But don't worry Rihanna the eye witness claims it was strictly friends.

They added: Chris was there because they do business together and hes part of everything so it was good that he was there because he didnt have to be. He wanted to be there though, to show up for Karrueche and show her support and that meant everything to her not on an intimate level but on a friend level more than anything.

While Brown might have wanted a platonic night, the insider hinted that his former flame was eager to have him around her.

He really did want this day to be about her and her magazine shoot and how shes designed for his label.

We're not surprised Rihanna chose to stay away from the party, in a recent interview with Vibe magazine Tran admitted talking to the 'Diamonds' star about their shared Brown love, would be too much.
