Chris Brown's ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran: 'I'll always care for him'
Brown and Tran began dating and working together on a fashion line in 2011, two years after his highly-publicised split from Rihanna.
In October 2012, the 'Turn Up the Music' star announced that he had broken up with Tran, shortly after reconciling with Rihanna.
Sources claim that Tran and Rihanna are feuding over Brown, though the aspiring fashion designer has downplayed reports of a rivalry in a new interview with Vibe magazine.
In the interview, Tran said that although she is no longer with Brown, she maintains a friendship and business relationship with him, explaining: "We'll always care about each other. We won't allow [our split] to interfere. Our business is business."
When asked if she believes she can continue to maintain a friendship with the performer despite his romance with Rihanna, she admitted: "I'm not sure. I've been on a rollercoaster for the past year so who knows?"
The 23-year-old ruled out the possibility of confronting Brown and Rihanna face to face, however.
"For everybody, emotionally, that would just be way too much," Tran explained.
"I'm a very mature person so if the time ever did come where we would need to sit down and talk, I'd do it. I'm a mature person. I can work it out but that would be a lot."
