The World Secretly Wants Chris Brown and Rihanna to Reunite: Heres Why

Chris Brown

You've more than likely been hearing the rumblings of an impending reconciliation between R&B crooner Chris Brown and pop diva Rihanna. These two can't seem to stop making headlines, together---even when they were legally thrust apart by that pesky restraining order. In any case, there are hordes of people who think these two are way better off without each other. On the other hand, you'd be surprised by the number of people who hope that Rihanna will eventually say that she and Chris "Found Love" again

They represented "Young Hollywood."

We don't want to admit that we actually liked the two of them together. In effect, if we'd never known of any violent squabble, we'd probably still be celebrating their disgustingly attractive togetherness. Are these two perfect? Nope. Should you adopt them as role models for your vulnerable pre-teens? Probably not. But as entertainers and interesting people in general, they served up a juicy slice of Young Hollywood.

We're just not that sure of that Karrueche girl

Breezy has never been one to be starving for female attention---especially from some of the scene's most desirable women. As such, he and current gal pal model Karrueche Tran have been living it up, sporting their romance all over the cameras. She's got the requisite "it girl" looks. But somehow we get the feeling that she's infinitely less interesting than the "Rude Boy" singer.

We love a good love story.

The stories are just too plentiful. Everywhere you turn, you hear of not-so-vague Tweets, secret lia! isons, and midnight phone chats. Warped images of reworked Romeo and Juliet stories bounce around in our brains. We also are hesitant to admit that our twisted psyches slightly enjoy the underlying passion (not the violence) Rihanna and Chris seemed to have for one another. Underneath all that dysfunction there apparently existed genuine love.

Can people really change?

We would also like to believe that people with anger issues can get help to manage them---and ultimately function in a healthy relationship. As much as critics pounced all over Brown's public apologies and backstage tantrums, we wanted to believe that he was more than the "brat" he claimed the media made him out to be. He's apologized to Rihanna and the public for his misdoings. The incident will never be forgotten. But he's had quite a time getting most of us to truly forgive him.
