Beyonce, Adele lead NAACP music nominations

Beyonce, Adele, Chris Brown and Mary J. Blige lead the nominees for the NAACP music nominations.

Adele receives her first NAACP nomination for the song, Someone Like You. Although the show is known for honoring the accolades of African Americans this is not the first year a white performer has been nominated. In the past the show has nominated Justin Timberlake and Robin Thicke. Adeles latest album has spent a record 16 weeks at the top of the charts, tying the record for the Titanic soundtrack. Other nominees include: Beyonce, Chris Brown, Cee Lo Green, Anthony Hamilton, Wynter Gordon, Common and Lupe Fiasco.
