Rihanna 'warned against Chris Brown reconciliation'

Rihanna has reportedly been warned off a reconciliation with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown by concerned friends.

The 'We Found Love' singer split from Brown in 2009 after he assaulted her during a fight. The 22-year-old was sentenced to five years' probation and six months of community service.

Despite previously suggesting that she would never talk to Brown again, Rihanna appears to have become closer to the R&B star in recent times, with the pair tweeting loving messages minutes apart last week.

She left more cryptic posts on the site in the early hours, writing: "Is this LOVE? Is that what it is?....I cud be dreaming or just plain crazy!!! God sent me an Angel from above, that's gonna LOVE ME FOR LIFE!!!!"

The Bajan star's actions have made her loved ones fearful that she will resurrect her "destructive relationship", The Sun reports.

"Despite everything that has happened RiRi has not stopped loving Chris," a sourc! e said. "They have been in constant contact for some time and things seemed to be stepping up a gear in recent weeks.

"Many thought these public declarations of love on Twitter were paving the way for an official reconciliation. She has been warned by pals not to get involved in such a destructive relationship again but she just can't let go."

Insiders claim that Rihanna stepped up her pursuit of a reconciliation due to Brown's recent fling with model Karrueche Tran.

"Seeing him with Karrueche is very hard for her," the source said. "Her emotions appear to have got the better of her this weekend."

Rihanna has reportedly vowed to find a man in 2012.
