Rihanna may not be ready to talk about her relationship with Chris Brown she reportedly lashed out at the UK edition of Esquire when asked why her ex-boyfriend, who was convicted of felony assault against her in 2009, appeared on her Birthday Cake remix but the producer of her next project fully condones her getting back together with the R&B singer, at least in the recording booth.
I was happy to see it happen, to be honest with you, Sean Garrett told ABCNews.com. Garrett worked with Rihanna on her early single, Pon de Replay, and co-wrote Browns first hits, Run It and Gimme That. What was done was done, it was tragic, he said about Browns 2009 assault on Rihanna, but at the same time, I was just happy to see that theyd gotten past it and obviously she was cool with it.
Cool might be stretching it in her interview with Esquire, Rihanna reportedly refused to talk about domestic violence and its impact on her, saying Im not here to [talk] about messy s**t.
W! orking a nd rocking risque fashion or nothing at all, she posed topless for Esquires July cover seem to be her raison dtre right now. This month, she and Garrett head overseas to work on an undisclosed project that Garrett whos made hits for the likes of Justin Bieber and Usher promised would be big. For those who question the 24-year-old pop stars judgment and health, given her decision to work with Brown, recent hospitalization, and penchant for clubbing, Garrett offered this: Shes a grown person, shes in control of her own life.
