Chris Brown logged community service hours at his old daycare
R&B star Chris Brown logged nearly one third of his court-ordered community service hours for his 2009 assault of then-girlfriend Rihanna at his childhood daycare center. The Kiss Kiss hitmaker was placed on five years' probation and ordered to complete six months of community service after he was convicted of beating Rihanna on the eve of the Grammy Awards three years ago. A US judge recently ordered a more thorough review of his work log to determine whether he had violated the terms of his probation by failing to properly fulfil the punishment, and now newly-released documents reveal Brown completed 508 hours at the Tappahannock Children's Center, where his mom once served as director and where the singer was looked after as a young boy, on and off, for 12 years. The singer spent most of his time doing general cleaning, painting walls, and waxing floors after-hours, and facility administrator Ida Minter insists the 23 year old was a dedicated volunteer.
