Drake disses Chris Brown in re-worked Aaliyah track
Its coming up to the 11th anniversary of R&B singer Aaliyahs tragic death. And in (a pretty bizarre) tribute to her, Drake has re-worked a song of hers and put his own rap in.
Enough Saidhas received mixed reviews, with one critic saying: [Drakes] narcissistic manipulative emotions are the antithesis of the deep pathos her reticent presence represented. Which is very, um..wordy.
Making her feelings very clear, Julianne Escobedo Shepherd, of Billboard.com, added: But this is worse than I could have ever anticipated. F U Drake.
But whats caught our ear apart from all the swears is thatDrake seems to usehis verse to take a pop at Chris Brown.
In one line, he says Selling under 150 you n***** got to be kidding, which is his way of saying hes totally unimpressed that Chriss latest album, Fortune, only sold 134,000 copies in its first week of release in America.
This will only fuel the beef between the pair, which reached fever point in June when they were allegedly involved in a brawl in a New York night club.
During a night classy enough to make an episode of Geordie Shore look like a silver service reception at Buckingham Palace, Chris flew into a rage after Drake returned a bottle of champagne the Turn Up The Music singer had sent to his table as a peace offering.
As well as returning the bubbly, Drake sent a note to Chris saying: Im f***ing the love of your life, deal with it That was meant to be a reference to Rihanna, of course.
At this point, the clubs VIP area erupted into a brawl, bottles were thrown, glass was smashed and Chris ended up with a gash on his chin.
It was rumoured that Rihanna and Drake were together following their steamy collabora! tion with him on Whats My Name, and youll all remember that fateful time she dated Chris.
Heres the song where you can hear the diss. Be careful where you listen to it and how loudly, because Drakes bit is brimming with swears.
What do you think of it? We're bet Aaliyah's fans are thrilled...
