Chris Brown and Artist Ron English Create Line of Toys

Dubbed the Dum English astronaut series, the line features creepy little spaceman figurines meant to symbolize the pitfalls of celebrity, English tells the Miami New Times.
"We were talking about what it was like to be famous," English said. "It seems like something that's very attractive. But it can also be very isolating in ways."
Doesn't Brown know it. Some have yet to forgive him for his 2009 physical altercation with then-girlfriend Rihanna, and last month, the embattled crooner unleashed a Twitter rant, then deleted his entire timeline.
English -- an iconoclastic pop and street artist known for distorting images of Mickey Mouse and Marilyn Monroe -- also collaborated with Brown on a sculpture that showed at Miami's Art Basel festival over the weekend.
"Most artists listen to music when they paint," English added. "A lot of famous musicians don't know about art. Kanye West has gotten really into art. David Bowie got heavily into art."
English evidently counts Brown among the cultured few, and he hopes their joint work will expand both of their audiences.
